*Please note, because of knee surgery, I will not be adding new or additional clients in 2023. We are hoping to be back at full strength in the Spring of 2024.

Your windows have survived a 100 years or more, they will patiently wait to be restored!

The Case for Restoration

We live in a disposable society. Buy cheap and replace. This has also applied to the window business. Window replacements have been so hyped that many don’t realize that old windows CAN be restored. The beauty and strength of old growth wood can’t be surpassed and any window made with it CAN be restored!

BENEFITS OF RESTORING VS. BUYING REPLACEMENT WINDOWS:

  • It’s less expensive to restore than to install new or replacement windows! If your wood windows are restored correctly and you add a good fitting storm window, they are as energy efficient as any new replacement window.

  • Restored windows can last hundreds of years (as opposed to 15 years for replacement windows)

  • The glass is much higher quality. Did you know that the glass in old windows was hand blown and rolled? You’ll never see this type of glass again, unless you pay a premium. Old wavy glass in wooden windows has become so popular that people go out of their way to have it installeded when remodeling.

  • You’re saving a boatload of money in the long run and passing that savings on to whomever buys or occupies your home in the future

  • The energy of old growth wood is healthier for you and your family as opposed to synthetic vinyl

  • You’re reducing landfill waste!

Why throw away a perfectly good window or door? We offer:

  • Wood Window Restoration

  • Wood Window Maintenance

The Pittsburgh area is an extensive museum of craftsmanship and materials that are cost prohibitive to reproduce. Restoring and Maintaining wood windows has never been easier.
